Metro Roma Line B1 - Stazione Annibaliano

Final structural design, detail design and site supervision of the underground Annibaliano Station of the new line B1 of the Metro in Rome.

The station of overall dimension in plan of about 160x40m is completely underground up to a depth of 35m. The top-down dig excavation technique required using RC slurry walls, dug by hydromill and permanent RC slabs, which act as contrasting diaphragm. The TBM transit into the station took place after the completion of the structure, milling the concrete retaining structures where fiberglass bars reinforcement have been used.
